Yeah yeah, I got three pages on the Doc, we’ll be moving back to the Regs on the next comic.

I need everyone to realize what this series means to the evolution of the comic and me as a creator. This is a massive step out, huge. I’m juggling a backstory, with nearly ten characters, as well as the origination and evolution of a new major player (the Doc)… I’m a humorist and a bastard, I know. I’m taking the comic in a direction that seems almost contrary to the original incarnation of TWE, but it’s not like that at all.

I’m really just starting to grow comfortable with this format, and confident in my abilities as a writer and artist to keep it going. It’s very much like an action comic in that it’s melodramatic, completely ridiculous, and wholly unbelieavable. But the art is the antithesis of the action comic ideal, not only doesn’t hold the human form to a ridiculous standard, it completely discards it. And yes, there are some weird incidences, and strange villians, but there are really very few super heroes.

I’m trying to tell a story, folks, to create a universe just like any other comic creator that looks at a larger picture… Just like Marvel, or Image, or DC… But I want to create a universe that’s completely asinine, typically amoral, and almost completely arbitrary.

I’m slowly building a comic publishing company. I’ll be publishing a lot of creator owned works coming up, and that won’t change. One of the long term goals of this company, on the other hand, will be creating and expanding on this universe I’ve been working on through TWE. I’ll be creating spin offs, team ups… The old standards that comic fans have come to embrace, but I’ll be putting the Barnham spin on it, the dark, goofy, asshole spin that people have come to know me for. I’m trying to create the Papal Petrol universe…
