That being said…

The World Explodes (TWE) was a classroom doodle started in 2000.  It never really was very popular, but that did not stop young Reginald Thaddeus Barnham III from continuing to draw it regardless of the fact that no one liked it.

TWE was poorly put online, via one of those awful geocities sites in 2000.  As R.T. became more and more independent, he became more and more poor, and gradually the original TWE site was abandoned, and he was forced to become and adult whether he liked it or not.

TWE was reintroduced to the interweb in late 2006, newer, fresher and stupider then ever.

R.T.’s drawing style developed from a hatred of action comic styles that were taught to him by his father.  He disliked the style, he hated drawing it, and new, even though he showed signs of great talent, he was not going to cut it in that industry.

In his high school English class, R.T. began drawing the precursors to TWE.  He never looked back

TWE does not strive for artistic excellence (the artists own drawing style is self described as ‘Progressive Downs Syndrome Minimalism’).  It does not try and better your life, it does not try and do anything really but be a mental ejaculation.  And a mediocre one at that.

R.T. kicks himself whenever he inserts a wholesome message into his comics, he figures that you can get that anywhere.

R.T. says, “if you wanna be smart, read goats… if you want to fuck off, read TWE.”
